The OBA Super-series is a four week team’s tournament produced by the Otago Badminton Association which will be held Wednesday nights from 7pm starting March 19th. The OBA Super-series is for advanced badminton players who have played Div 1 Masters/Div 2 or 3 Seniors in the past two years. Players will register as individuals via HelloClub (HC) if you are a HC member or via email to zn.gro.ogatonotnimdabnull@snoititepmoc for non members. Payment is to be made via HelloClub for HC members ($60). Non HC members can make payment to the OBA bank account ($75). Please register before March 15th.

Individuals will be allocated into even strength teams consisting of four players each by OBA. With each team being allocated a Team Captain. These teams will be then split into Division A and Division B based on overall team skill.

A game tie between teams will consist of four compulsory games and three wild card games. Each tie the compulsory games must be played by the same combinations, whilst the wild card games can be played by anyone as chosen by the Team Captain. However, each player must play three games: two compulsory games and one wild card game.

Teams will play in a round robin format. By the end of the third week all teams in their respective divisions will have played each other. Week four will see the top team of each division play the second team in the same division, the same goes for the third team playing the fourth team.
