Otago Badminton Centre re-opening for bookings

Bookings are open NOW for court bookings at the Otago Badminton Centre starting from Monday 25 May, 2026.

We have walled off the area under the damaged roof and have been, and will continue to, carry out regular reassurance air testing. We will have courts 1-2, 6-8 running. There is a covered walkway through to courts 6-8. This is an interim measure while we work towards a full repair.

We have two Otago Badminton Centre Access plans available:

Basic OBC Access, $20 per person per year, anchored 1 April to 31 March.
Charged pro rata from joining date to 31 March the next year.
Basic OBC Access benefits:
• Book one court concurrently at the OBC
• Book up to 2 weeks in advance
• Cheaper court hire rates than casual user

Premium OBC Access, $100 per person per year, anchored 1 April to 31 March. Charged pro rata from joining date to 31 March the next year.
Premium OBC Access benefits:
• Book unlimited (currently five courts) concurrently at the OBC
• Book up to 2 weeks in advance
• Cheaper court hire rates than casual user

Casual, no joining fee. Higher court hire rates than Basic and Premium Access.

Court hire rates (per court per hour, incl GST)
Basic and Premium Access, $13 peak (Mon-Fri 3-10pm), $11 off-peak.
Casual, $30
