Badminton is a great game for kids, and a great game for families!

We’ve got the gear, I just want to take my children for a hit.
If in Dunedin, the Otago Badminton Centre is available to you 24/7, even if you’re only a visitor to the town. See here for more information.

My children are a bit older, and I’d like to learn how to play with them.
Club night is for families! From April to September, there is an easy, cheap way to have a go. Racquets and shuttles are provided. Go to the Clubs menu item above for contact information of clubs in the region. All clubs welcome new members, and have discounted membership fees for families. Bring trainers with non-marking soles and a water bottle.

Start with coaching sessions to learn the right tricks from the get-go! See here for contact details of coaches in Otago.

My children are between 7 and 16 years and just want to have a go.
Junior Club on early Friday nights during term is for them. See here for more details or contact us by email.

The OBA runs and supports many events for children and young adults in the region. See here for information on the Junior Club and here for competitive events (Interschool and Junior representative players).
