Teams to be announced today

Team nominations are currently being double checked and then emailed out.

What happens if you’re not named?

If you haven’t made a team we would like to offer you a spot in a coaching squad. You will be informed so by email. To guarantee your spot in the squad, you have to confirm it (contact Sonya at zn.gro.ogatonotnimdabnull@sroinuj), show up on the first day of training in term 2, and pay the set flat fee for the session or sessions you are attending for the term by the due date. Easy!

There are many non-team tournaments you can play in and to further improve, you’re very much encouraged to do so. There are doubles, mixed, and singles. The coaching squads are a good place to find partners, or talk to the coaches.

The local events are listed below. Entry forms and further details will be available from our website closer to the time.

Otago U13 – September 8
Otago U15 – August 4 & 5
Otago U17 – July 21 & 22
Otago U19 – August 18 & 19

Southland and Canterbury run tournaments as well, see our Events Calendar for an overview of what’s on when.

What happens next if you made the team?

You will be emailed an acceptance letter and player contract/agreeement that your parents have to sign and return as soon as possible. If your return isn’t received by the cut off date, your spot in the team will be offered to someone else.

If you made a team, you will also be offered a spot in a training squad. You will receive details with session times and due dates for payment by email.

Team training is organised closer to the time of the Invercargill tournament.
