In a letter to the clubs, president Shirley Woodrow writes:

“To all users of the hall.

Lighting cost increase

Our insurance premium for the Angus Badminton Centre has increased substantially more than anticipated for this financial year.
We therefore had no option but to increase the cost of lighting in all categories to sustain the running costs of the hall. This increase will be $1 per hour and will take effect from 15 July 2013.

As you can appreciate we have not made this decision lightly and we anticipate that there will be no additional cost increases in the foreseeable future. We trust that you understand the reason why we have done this.”
